

The innkeepers gave us a huge, fluffy dog bed for each our little guys and we put them in front of the adorable heater-cum-fireplace where they were incredibly content to roast themselves all night. Also, the no dogs on bed rule was particularly important as it poured the first night we got in, making it obvious that muddy paws could do some serious damage to the linens. The innkeepers kept very much to themselves, and the rules concerning the dogs being on leash on the property make perfect sense as I, myself, would not like to be liable if one of the many wild creatures in the surrounding wilderness decided to pay a visit to snack on wandering dogs in the area.
